CompKeeper contains job summaries from ONET and lists of phrases that can be used to create the first draft of a job description.

    Market Work Area
Market survey data can be directly entered for each of your benchmark jobs.  Data can be entered from multiple surveys in either an hourly or annual rate format.  You control the aging and weighting of the survey data.  Survey data in a spreadsheet format can be imported into CompKeeper. Data can then be matched to your jobs using the Lookup function.

    Employee Work Area
Employee data can also be entered directly into CompKeeper or imported from a spreadsheet. You can assign employees to the jobs that you have established in the Jobs Work Area.  The result is consistent job titling and an employee database you can quickly access.  Both full-time and part-time employees can be entered with either annual or hourly pay rates.
Structure Work Area
Creating a new pay structure for your organization or entering your existing pay structure is done in the Structure Work Area.  Here you have complete control of the number of grades in your structure and the midpoint and range spreads for each grade. Using the auto assign function, CompKeeper assigns each of your jobs with market data to a pay grade based on the best fit of the market data to the midpoints. An Assignment Editor is provided to compare and evaluate job leveling within a family and between job families.  Here you can re-level jobs based on internal reasons.
Planning Work Area
The Planning Work Area is where you can develop a salary increase budget for the next year. It contains a merit matrix that you can customize. The salary budget that you develop is created by applying the merit matrix (merit increases based on performance rating and position in range) to each employee that will be covered by the pay structure you have created.  The result is the actual projected fiscal year cost of the merit increases and other adjustments that you have elected to make. The Planning Work Area displays your current compa ratio and the new compa ratio based on your assumptions.  It also displays the distribution of your employees by performance rating and position in range. Several pre-designed reports can be generated.
